Shopping Day

A busy weekend just pass by.This day we go to Orchard to send money to my bills and shop around the corner to buy some "Pasalubong" for our up coming vacation back in my hometown.

Well it's good way of releasing out the stress and unwinding up a little bit.
After a long queue to the counter, walk and human traffic. I feel so exhausted as i sat down by the sofa.



Im still wondering where do women get all the energy in terms of shopping. It seems while im so exhausted my wife has just starting to heat up... hehe

Almost

January 19, 2007

After office right after I ate diner with my wife. We decided to go for a night swimming to burn some calories.

We started around 8:00 pm after of few laps I feel so happy because for the first time I can beat my wife on our swimming race...hehe

Its almost 9:00 pm the water is getting cold so we get out of the pool to dry when all of the sudden I went back to practice my threading.

For some reasons i loose control, for 45 seconds I was struggling in the water my wife thought I was just playing around. Catching up breath then going under simultaneously. There I drank to much water, my heart stops and I can't see a damn thing.

Then I manage to shout for help. I thought it was my end as i nearly lost my consciousness. Then my wife paniced and jump off to my rescue and try to push me to the swimming pool side. But i almost drown her also due to my un-intentional struggle to pool side.

As I was regaining my strength I went back to the few days of my life looking for a sign why I "ALMOST DIE".

Sign 1: We just applied OWWA Membership then I told my wife 3 times what ever happened to me just go here and claim money. I put you as my beneficiary.

Sign 2: I won a DEATH CLAIM Insurance from AIG valid for 3 months. I wasn't imagining to use this but it almost happen.

Anyway, The good thing is I can start a new life again. I just felt I was reborn..

Thank God!!! And thank you for reading my story.

Seriously

It's a kick-off a new year though i don't got a chance to celebrate the holiday. I decided to take things seriously now. Arrange everything, systematize, think my priorities straight, prepare for the future and make progress.

Starting with the following:

- Since my Canadian Immigrant Visa is still on queue we decided to apply Permanent Residency here in Singapore.



Acknowledgement card im just waiting for the approval in 1-3 months time.

- Apply for an OFW membership since i was working abroad this will save me from paying extra charges on the airport.



OWWA Certificate

- For my photography I bought some magazines to keep me updated and help me learn to build my Photography System. Once done I will build my system just want to make sure I got the correct equipment and skill to do it.



UK's Digital Camera Magazine

- Organize my iTunes and iPhoto Library.



- To lower my BMI (Body Mass Index) I need to jog on weekends and to monitor this activity I just installed a NIKE WIDGET.



- For my programming skill improvement. I run some topics I need to work on and study.

Countdown 2007

We went to see the fireworks display at VIVO city. After digging in the good food and nice ambiance.

From the second floor deck we took some pictures while wondering what will be the fireworks like here in Singapore. As the clock ticks 12:00 we only see a Single flare gun shoot the fireworks display is on the other part of the city only. Hermes got the wrong info.

Shit what a waste of time and oppurtunity. Considering we had gone to far just to go there. And wait for hours for nothing. And on our way home a huge crowd piled up on the train station.

Christmas

We haven't a chance to go home this Christmas for a lot of reasons. So we spend it here together with our friends we met here in Singapore of course we host the party.

We cooked pasta, buy cake, cocktail drinks and goodies. And Im in charge with the grill. The rain did not cooperate so it make it too difficult for me. Anyway I had it done on time just right time for the party.

We had a little exchange gift, games of course Hermes did great on the charades.




Well for the present i bought this for my wife since his mobile phone already retirede due to old age.

Today i just installed Bootcamp on my PC this will let you run Windows XP on your Macbook. Good thing my friend Chris lend me Windows XP Pro license copy. Now i can enjoy both Windows and Mac applications.hehe no more conflicts.

We just finished watching LOST after starting it last Saturday my wife and I watched the blockbuster TV Series Lost starting from the First season up to the Second for only 3 days of non-stop watching it on the laptop.

The Second Season was really a Cliffhanger can't wait for the third season based on my research will be showing this February 7, 2007.



Though the 3rd season poster has been launched I haven't seen any teasers yet.
Anyway the series was good and story line was great.

My Brother is in town

My eldest brother Jonjon just came here for a visit in Singapore while he is still on vacation from UAE.



He tried to find a suitable job here. Eventually the results where negative though he is qualified but the problem is the government here is so strict about giving away the working visas for non-IT professionals..hmmm very discreminating.

At least he can still get back to UAE after Christmas still another hard lessons for him and my family. But that is life still we have to move on. So before he go i just took some pictures of him at the heart of the city. Raffles City.
